Top 10 most used units runeing suggestions.

FOR L/D ONLY

December 15th 2020

As per popular request, I will list the top 10 core units used on L/D accounts and how I did/ would rune them for general usage in PvE content. I will also list them in order of SPEED priority. NOTE: when I say Hp/Def/Att that means HP% OR DEF% OR ATT% in that respective slot. Example: if I say Spd, Hp/Def, Hp/Def that means Speed in slot 2, Hp% OR Def% in slot 4 and Hp% OR Def% in slot 6.

  • Loren: Spd, Hp/Def, Hp/Def on swift or violent. She is one of our most valued units and should be the fastest unit you have to set up strips and defense breaks and deny turns. The other 2 runes can be focus because high accuracy is really needed but you can pretty much do anything later on except blade and destroy as those are basically useless for her.

  • Jeanne: Spd, Hp/Def, Hp/Def on swift. It is important that you make her faster than Fran because if Fran moves before her and uses her buffs, the first thing Jeanne will do is use S3 and gain another turn so will end up wasting Fran's amazing buffs for nothing. The other 2 runes can be focus because high accuracy is really needed but you can pretty much do anything later on.

  • Fran: Spd, Hp/Def, Hp/Def on swift or violent. She is very versatile and can be runed many ways but she should be the fastest unit AFTER Loren and Jeanne. I had my Fran high defense a long time to front line rift beasts and raid. The other 2 runes can basically be anything but I do recommend energy or guard early on for the extra stats as a dead Fran doesn't heal squat if you get my drift.

  • Eirgar: Spd, CD, Hp/Def/Att on swift. He has lower base speed but still needs to move before many other units as he has one of the best buffs in the game. I would make him a touch slower than Fran however, you will never or hardly ever use Fran and Eirgar at the same time as it's a waste to have 2 attack buffers on the same team. The other 2 runes can be focus because high accuracy is really needed but you can pretty much do anything later on.

  • 2A Gorgo: Spd, Hp/CR/CD, Hp on swift or violent. This bear was the first 2A that made L/D only go from playing the game on very hard mode to just hard mode. His whole kit is just amazing. We use him everywhere for his AOE safety net because even if he misses the stuns he still is likely to apply the attack break which usually keeps your team alive. The other 2 runes can be focus because high accuracy is really needed but you can pretty much do anything later on.

  • 2A Belladeon: Spd, Def/Hp, Def/Hp on swift or violent. Bella has been the number 1 healer of all time. Since the game came out, everyone has been after this Inugami. The way she can be used is limitless. She is almost as useful not 2A but most of us will 2A her asap. The other 2 runes can be focus because high accuracy is really needed but you can pretty much do anything later on except blade and destroy as those are basically useless for her.

  • Elsharion: Spd, Hp/Def/CD, Hp/Def/Att on swift or violent. This Ifrit is highly under rated by almost all the meta users. He single handedly makes Dragons dungeon significantly safer vs boss. Get your hands on him after Fran ASAP! The other 2 runes can be focus because high accuracy is really needed but you can pretty much do anything later on.

  • Veromos: Spd, Hp/Def/CD, Hp/Def/Att on swift or violent. He can be used in a few ways just like his light brother. He can be used as a tanky cleanser with some cc or can be a full damage dealer or even a hybrid. Just depends what you need him for specifically. The other 2 runes can be focus because high accuracy is really needed but you can pretty much do anything later on.

  • 2A Kro: Spd/Att, CD, Att on fatal / rage / swift / vampire or violent. This puppy dog is our 1 and only top damage dealer that will probably never be contested. He can use several different rune types but ultimately it's all about the stats in the end. You need to meet certain stats at certain points in the game, so, as an example: If you are happy with how hard he hits in general but he is just toooo slow and you cant seem to find anymore speed with the current rune type you are using, consider using swift! You just might gain the speed you need and lose minor damage so the trade off is worth it. The other 2 runes can be blade as the extra critical rate will help a lot in the beginning but can be runed however later on.

  • Darion: Def/Hp, Def/Hp, Def/Hp on basically any good tanky sets you have. This monster significantly reduces the damage everyone else takes. A popular build is on full shield runes as it adds a significant amount of "artificial" health to all the units on his team for the first 3 turns or until the shield is broken. This might just be what you need to survive that Giant counter attack.

You can probably complete at least 90% of the entire game with these 10 monsters. As you approach the Mid - End game, you will find you have much different builds for these monsters as you might be using them differently for Siege or PvP in general but these are great builds to start with.

I hope this helps and feel free to contact me if you have further questions.
